A Rink Operations Technician supports daily rink and facility operations by maintaining ice quality through resurfacing, ice depth measurement, and accurate logging. This role is responsible for setting up and breaking down ice programming, assisting with special events, and performing general rink, locker room, and facility maintenance. The technician works collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth program transitions while maintaining a safe, clean, and customer-focused environment. Adherence to safety standards and the ability to learn to operate ice resurfacing equipment are essential to the role. A valid driver’s license is required.
This individual is responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all customers participating in Public Skate, Learn to Skate, Birthday Parties, and Private Parties at AdventHealth Center Ice. This individual must understand all rules and responsibilities of maintaining a safe ice environment. This individual must be willing to enforce rules and take appropriate steps to correct the situation, including asking an individual to leave the ice surface. This person must be trained on all basic first aid procedures (training provided by AHCI). This individual must be customer focused and friendly. They must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
