The Figure Skating Coordinator provides friendly customer service and management of skating programs and camps,
supporting other staff in the department, including the Skating Director. The coordinator will be interacting with parents
and children and answering questions regarding programing and performing program registration system management.
The Figure Skating Coordinator provides administration support to Learn to Skate, Figure Skating programs, and
camps. This role has two main purposes, the first is a customer service position with skaters and parents, and the
second purpose is to support the Skating Director with administrative tasks. The person in this position is expected to be
friendly and welcoming when interacting with customers and have the ability to work efficiently in a collaborative team
environment.
This individual is responsible for providing a safe and enjoyable experience for all customers participating in Public Skate, Learn to Skate, Birthday Parties, and Private Parties at AdventHealth Center Ice. He or she must understand all rules and responsibilities of maintaining a safe ice environment. This individual must be willing to enforce rules and take appropriate steps to correct the situation, including asking an individual to leave the ice surface. This person must be trained on all basic first aid procedures (training provided by AHCI). He/she must be customer focused and friendly. They must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
Responsible for tracking game statistics, including goals, assists, penalties, and time, ensuring the scoreboard is accurate throughout the game. They also assist referees and team staff by maintaining official records and providing updates as needed during the game.
